Nanna Ditzel (1923-2005)
Nanna Ditzel was trained as a cabinetmaker in 1943 and then, like most other furniture designers, on to the Design School where she was trained as a furniture designer in 1946.
In 1946 she started together with her husband Jørgen Ditzel, a design company, where they designed furniture, textiles, etc.
Nanna Ditzel is a renowned Danish designer who designed jewelry, as well as furniture.
She is especially known for Trinidad chair and “Trissen” (Pulley).
Nanna Ditzel, was with Grete Jalk, one of the few female designers in Denmark. Besides her presence in Denmark, she had a number of years studio in London.
Nanna Ditzel worked with various producers, including Kolds Savværk, Søren Willadsen, Vejen and Fredericia Furniture.
