At KLASSIK’s own cabinetmaking and furniture upholstery workshop, we carry out just about every type of renovation – with respect for its history and craftsmanship.

Our experienced technicians base their work on proud craftsmanship traditions and use only original materials wherever possible. At KLASSIK Moderne Møbelkunst, we naturally take pride in achieving a finished result that is as close to the original appearance as at all possible.

Before we start

Before we start to renovate or reupholster your piece of furniture, we give a cost estimate. The more information we have about your piece of furniture, the more precise our offer will be.

Please note that we cannot give you a fixed price until we have received your piece of furniture for repair or reupholstering at our workshop at Strandlodsvej 13, DK-2300 Copenhagen S. Naturally we will wait for you to accept our offer before we start on the job.

Leather is the essence of the furniture

Leather has always been one of furniture designers’ preferred materials to work with. Thus, the leather’s condition and quality are crucial for the furniture’s style. At KLASSIK, our technically qualified staff use only quality leather to ensure that the piece of furniture achieves perfect expression – out of consideration for its history and craftsmanship.

Aniline leather

“Pure nature” made of top-quality rawhide. Basically, leather has a completely smooth natural surface where all natural marks are visible. This helps to emphasise the unique character of leather and adds rustic charm to the individual piece of furniture. The leather is full-grain, meaning that its natural surface structure is intact. This also means that the leather is breathable, thus enhancing the leather’s sitting comfort and exclusiveness. Aniline leather is gradually affected by wear and sunlight and soon takes on a natural patina.

Semi-aniline leather

This full-grain leather has been given a light surface finish. The treatment makes the leather more resistant and durable. At the same time, the leather has the same natural look typified by aniline leather, as well as excellent sitting comfort.

Regardless of leather type, all leather used by KLASSIK comes from Arne Sørensen Læder A/S.
