Aage Weimar was a Danish silversmith and crime writer who was born on January 22, 1902, in Copenhagen. He was the son of Evald Nielsen, a renowned silversmith, and his wife Marie (née Weimar). He had a younger brother named Bjarne Weimar.

Weimar received his training as a silversmith at Grann & Laglye in 1924 and then went on to receive further training abroad. From 1927 to 1936, he worked in his father's company as a silversmith and designer. In 1936, Weimar opened his own shop and workshop in Nørregade 2, Copenhagen. He was known for his skill in creating silverware with elegant and modern designs.

In addition to his work as a silversmith, Weimar also had a passion for writing. He wrote several crime novels and short stories under the pseudonym "Aage Weimar-Nielsen." Some of his most famous works include "Mysteriet på Postkontoret" (The Mystery at the Post Office), "Mordet i Lyngen" (The Murder in Lyngen), and "Skyggen af et Mord" (The Shadow of a Murder). Weimar's crime novels were popular in Denmark during the 1930s and 1940s.

In 1947, Weimar moved his business to Frederiksberggade 2, where he continued to create beautiful silverware for many years. He also had a workshop in Vestergade 4. He closed his shop and workshop in probably the year 1968. Weimar died in Copenhagen in 1986 at the age of 84.
