Arne Haugen Sørensen is a Danish painter and graphic artist born on April 27, 1932, in Copenhagen. Although he is largely self-taught, he made his debut in 1953 at the Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling. He is a member of the artists' association Grønningen and has received numerous awards and honors, including the Eckersberg Medal in 1975 and the Thorvaldsen Medal in 1984. His works are displayed in most Danish art museums, and he is well-known for decorating a large number of Danish churches. He has also decorated the Indenrigsgården at Copenhagen Airport in 1989 and the Folketeatret in Copenhagen in 1991.

Sørensen's brother is the sculptor Jørgen Haugen Sørensen. Since 1981, Arne Haugen Sørensen has been living in Andalusia. In 2018, Marie Breyen's film about him premiered at the Grand Teatret, called The Wanderer.

On September 10, 2017, the Arne Haugen Sørensen Museum was inaugurated in Videbæk as an extension to the Vestjyllands Kunstpavillon, which opened in 2012. Both buildings were designed by architect Henning Larsen and are located in Videbæk Anlæg. Additionally, the National Gallery of Denmark has several paintings by Haugen Sørensen.
