Marianne Starck

Marianne Starck (born August 9, 1931 - December 13, 2007) was a Danish ceramist.

Marianne Starck (born August 9, 1931 - December 13, 2007) was a Danish ceramist known for her characteristic works of art. She was born in Holstein and apprenticed as a potter from 1949 to 1952, after which she attended the "Landekunstschule" in Hamburg, where she studied graphics.

From 1955 to 1993 she was employed by Michael Andersen & Son, where she was very involved in the implementation of stoneware in production. Marianne Starck (MS) has designed a wide range of products, both utilitarian and decorative. Her love of graphite is expressed in a number of reliefs and mirrors.

Starck lived and worked on the island of Bornholm in the town of Rønne and is today internationally known for her works of art.
