"I have tried to create a classic Christmas table with a focus on the old Danish workshops from the 20th Century"
Vibeke, who works in our Flagship Store in Copenhagen, has this year decorated a Christmas table with tableware and glassware from the old renowned workshops, where quality and design were paramount.

Vibeke has worked in KLASSIK for the past 16 years with sales, advice on upholstery, interior design and has a great passion for the old design classics ⏤ furniture as well as porcelain.
"I like to treat my guests with a beautifully laid table that exudes nostalgia, quality and personality. It sets the right mood for a good Christmas dinner"

from Royal Copenhagen, the old production of the 'Cactus' cutlery in sterling silver by Gundorph Albertus (1887-1969) for Georg Jensen and the mouth-blown 'Berlinois' glasses, which were produced by Holmegaard, Kastrup Glasværk and Fyens Glasværk respectively from the end of the 19th Century until the 1940s, where it was discontinued.

The selected furniture for the Christmas table was designed by architect Poul Kjærholm (1929-1980) and includes the iconic PK54 dining table in flint-rolled light marble with matching PK9 chairs, which was designed in 1960. The seven-shade crown above the table was designed by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen in the late 1920s and is known as the 'Septima' lamp. The table is also decorated with a tall vase by Karl Hansen Reistrup (1863-1929) for Kähler and a smaller vase with oxblood glaze by Jais Nielsen (1885-1961) for Royal Copenhagen.
